Seminar overview

Summary

What can the wider removals industry learn from a rapidly evolving business model?

Forget the traditional image of the “man with a van”. Today’s market is evolving rapidly, driven by changing customer expectations, technology, new routes to market and a new generation of operators.

Cat, co-founder of Your Man With A Van, challenges some of the long-held perceptions surrounding this part of the removals sector and explores why the model is proving increasingly relevant to today’s customer.

Drawing on the experience of building and scaling Your Man With A Van into a nationwide franchise network, Cat will look beyond the company story to examine the principles that sit behind its growth: customer service, technology, flexibility, scalability and understanding what the modern customer actually wants.

The session will explore what makes the model attractive to both customers and operators, how technology is being integrated throughout the customer journey, the lessons learned from rapid growth, and the critical factors that can make the difference between success and failure.

Most importantly, Cat will look ahead. As customer expectations continue to change, technology develops and new routes to market reshape how customers find, select and buy removal services, what might the next generation of removals operator look like?

This isn’t about replacing the traditional removals model. It’s about challenging perceptions, looking at the industry from a different perspective and asking:

What can we learn from each other and are there ideas here that you could apply to your own business?Details to follow shortly
